Review the following information and find which describes you. If you are unsure if you need to take the Chemistry Learning Modules for Placement, reach out to the CLA Student Services Team at [email protected].

If you:

  • Have taken and passed college Chemistry I (CHEM 1065/1061), you do NOT need to take the Chemistry Learning Modules for Placement.
  • Have not taken a college chemistry course, and your intended major is NOT one of the following majors, you do NOT need to take the Chemistry Learning Modules for Placement. (Biology, Society, & Environment, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Human Physiology, Physics, Pre-health programs (Nursing, MD, PT, PA,Pharmacy, etc)
  • Have not taken a college chemistry course and your intended major is one of the following majors, you need to take the Chemistry Learning Modules for Placement. (Biology, Society, & Environment, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Human Physiology, Physics, Pre-health programs (Nursing, MD, PT, PA,Pharmacy, etc)
  • Have not taken a college chemistry course, and you are undecided about your major, but are interested in the pre-health programs (Nursing, MD, PT, PA, Pharmacy, etc), you should take the Chemistry Learning Modules for Placement
