If you:
- Have taken and passed college Calculus 1 (MATH 1271), you do NOT need to take the Math Placement Test.
- Have completed the MN Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) or completed an AA at a Minnesota Community College, and your intended major is not one of the following, you do NOT need to take the Math Placement Test. (Astrophysics, Biology, Society and Environment, Chemistry, Developmental Psychology, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Environmental Geosciences B.S., Economics, Geography B.S., Human Physiology, Mathematics, Physics, Pre-health Programs (Nursing, MD, PT, PA,Pharmacy, etc.), Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Urban Studies B.S.
- Have completed the MN Transfer Curriculum (MnTC) or completed an AA at a Minnesota Community College, and your intended major is one of the following, you need to take the Math Placement Test. (Astrophysics, Biology, Society and Environment, Chemistry, Developmental Psychology, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Environmental Geosciences B.S., Economics, Geography B.S., Human Physiology, Mathematics, Physics, Pre-health Programs (Nursing, MD, PT, PA,Pharmacy, etc.), Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Urban Studies B.S.
- Have never taken a college math course, you need to take the Math placement test.
